A quick update on my latest experiment: basic routing of some elements. There are three CD4093B Quad 2-input NAND Schmitt Triggers powered through a 3.3V regulator. I’m going to merge the outputs of all 12 available oscillators on the output end.
For added variety, I modulate the input on each IC’s 2nd oscillator with the output from the 1st; I also modulate the input of the 3rd with the output of the 2nd. This picture shows a) voltage distribution, b) the above-mentioned modulation channels, c) grounding, and d) 10nF capacitors – one per oscillator.
My next step will be to connect a separate array of salvaged linear potentiometers to the appropriate oscillator pins:
I intend to power these two subsystems jointly by 3 AA batteries. Looking forward to the stage where I can test the audio, but for now, patience!
